Window Murder Scene For Halloween Party

We were asked to shoot a video of a murder scene for an upcoming Halloween party. The idea is to have the video rear-projected onto a window in the house so that from outside (where the party will be) it will appear as if a murder is taking place inside the house. We had a lot of fun with this project, especially when choreographing the struggle. A special thanks to Jessica Elam for volunteering to be the victim. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

“Bringing Them Home” Charity Music Event

Tonite we had the pleasure of shooting the annual “Bringing Them Home” musical event which was presented by Fred Miller of Coldwell Banker and sponsored by The Central Valley Association of Realtors. The show benefited Community Housing and Shelter Services to help families avoid homelessness and find permanent housing. The performances came across wonderfully on video, giving the same feeling as actually attending the event. We’ll be editing the footage over the next couple weeks and posting a short clip here on our site for those that are interested in checking it out.

Scot Woodman Bridal Photoshoot

We were invited to shoot behind-the-scenes footage of Red Bow Magazine’s bridal cover-shoot today at the Whitmore Mansion in Ceres, CA. The theme of the shoot was 1920′s Jazz Age, captured by local photographer Scot Woodman. Each scene was carefully planned out to the last detail, and it showed! The models were great, the lighting was great, even the baked goods wer great! (we sampled some of the cupcakes and treats afterwards). We’re going to setup a day to shoot interviews of Scot and Stacy, the magazine editor. We can’t wait to see how the photos turned out and to complete the edit on this project.

Shawn Franco Poetry Feature

We had the pleasure of shooting Shawn Franco’s poetry feature at The Queen Bean Coffeehouse this evening. He’s promoting his new chapbook entitled “Where the Best Parts of Me Are Living” which is a small collection of 11 poems, both spoken word and short pieces. Tonite’s performance was unlike anything we’ve seen from Shawn in the past. Incorporating music into his set, he used the tracks to build, release and relax right along side his words in such a complimentary way as to engage the audience like never before. We can’t wait to start editing this project and post it up for everyone to enjoy!

We are very excited to have In A Tree Productions up and running!

It’s been a busy past couple of weeks. Between filling out paperwork for the city, working with our graphic designer, and setting up our business banking, we’ve definitely had our hands full. It’s a slow process, which is probably the hardest part about getting a business off the ground. But after working freelance in the film/video industry for the past seven years, it sure feels good to have our own production company!

We plan to keep things updated regularly on our site to let everyone know what we’re up to. We’ll be blogging about upcoming projects, new equipment, and things that inspire us. On the homepage, you’ll find our most recent completed projects, curated in a lightbox effect, which will change from week to week as new projects come our way. We’ll also have a flickr feed on our site to show behind-the-scenes photos of our current projects.

With that said, we look forward to serving you as your go-to production company for creative video.
